The Director of Business Intelligence is responsible for partnering and leading multi-disciplined teams in the design, implementation and support of Association-wide reporting and analytical solutions to support the Key Performance Indicators' measurements of the Strategic Plan as well as supporting strategic business analysis. Develop, implement and support a multi-data source warehouse to provide a 360 degree constituent view enhancing home office as well as providing solutions for chapter daily reporting and analytical needs.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Set the strategy and vision for the reporting and analytical solutions and manage the day-to-day operations of the Business Intelligence teams.
- Program using PL/SQL, SQL, T-SQL and Shell Scripting, SQL Loader for enhancements, data fixes and conversions for reporting and analytical solutions.
- Assess, manage, and optimize the design and delivery of data warehouses
- Manage cross-departmental projects including Extract
- Transformation and Load (ETL) of data for the Strategy and BI/reporting and analytical warehouse, Data Analysis Requests, Personify to TA and Personify to Luminate Online data interfaces.
- Develop and implement a Business Intelligence portal designed to provide the Association with analytical tools for constituent, donation, financial, Program Contract Tracking and Key Performance Indicators.
- Provide guidance on best practices related to data governance, data quality, and master data management.
- Provide technical architecture leadership in the design and implementation of business intelligence delivery infrastructure, including Tableau Server and SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Manage 3rd party vendors throughout the systems development life cycle to ensure quality and conformance to defined Association data standards and IT system architecture, standards and practices.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Sciences or equivalent work experience.
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years experience in Information Technology delivering high impact technology solutions.
- Minimum of 5 years of IT project and vendor management experience.
- Proven technical Business Intelligence architecture expertise having designed and developed BI solutions.
