The Data Warehouse Developer is responsible for partnering with multi-disciplined teams in implementing and supporting development of the Association Data Warehouse to support reports and analysis for all areas of the organization. This may be a US-based remote position. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Design, develop, and maintain Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and related databases  
  • Build ETL Processes to load data from business systems/external sources into EDW, and generate external data feeds and extracts  
  • Collaborate with BI Reporting and Dashboard Visualization teams to ensure high quality/timely product delivery (Reports, Dashboards, Data Extracts, etc.)  
  • Create and maintain technical documentation  
  • Manage source code versioning and deployments  
  • Independently analyze and solve complex problems  
  • Evaluate large and complex data sets  
  • SQL Query performance tuning/optimization  
  • Participate in design and code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices  
  • Support on-going data quality and data integrity initiatives through creation/expansion of audit processes, exception reports, and alerts    
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Sciences or equivalent work experience.  
Skills/Experience: 
  • Highly-motivated self-starter who is also comfortable working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment  
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills  
  • Experience working on agile project team(s)  
  • Passion for solving complex business problems by designing clean, high-quality solutions  
  • 5 years of hands-on experience with relational and dimensional data modeling  
  • 5 years working Microsoft SQL Server databases and SQL Service Integration Services (SSIS)  
  • Advanced-level SQL development skills, including query performance tuning/optimization    

Preferred Skills:  

  • Oracle PL/SQL  
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)  
  • SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)  
  • Power BI  
  • C#/VB .Net  
  • Experience with Team Approach, Personify or other fundraising applications and/or CRM systems.
