This individual will be responsible for collecting, organizing and analyzing data from various financial, eligibility and statistical data sources. The position will also include financial responsibilities and database creation, development and maintenance.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating financial and statistical databases, ensuring consistency and accuracy of information.
  • Develop, modify, maintain and support standard and custom reporting for both ad-hoc and ongoing needs.
  • Maintain and audit datasets across multiple platforms including but not limited to: Access, Excel, Benefitsolver, SugarCRM, Formstack, etc.)
  • Develop process documentation and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Produce claim experience reports for individual YMCAs and provide analysis of results.
  • Analyze submitted data from annual YMCA trend survey.
  • Maintain health survey completion database and communicate results to local YMCAs.
  • Identify and communicate to customer YMCAs as needed regarding new Health Saving Accounts, eligibility audit updates and changing provider networks.
  • Identify, request, and update information needed for IRS Form 1095 reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
A bachelor’s degree is required.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Chicago location is required.
  • Must possess a minimum of 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably with a health, benefits, or insurance background.
  • Experience with identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets required
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (charts, macros, formulas, pivot tables) and Microsoft Access (querying, joins, macros, importing/exporting external data) required; SQL experience strongly desired.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and technical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines, as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a highly integrated team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to train others and simplify complex procedures.

Compensation/Benefits: 

 

Salary: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00
