Coordinator, Healthy Living Data Reporting

The Coordinator, Healthy Living Data Reporting will be responsible for and provide support for reporting and data analysis efforts related to specific grant funded programs and practices being disseminated by Y-USA’s Healthy Living department.  More specifically, this position will support aspects of the efforts to integrate reporting needs at the program or practice level, which will enable related project teams to ensure that YMCA Associations running evidence-based programs and practices will adhere to grant expectations, performance standards, contract terms, and other requirements.   

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develops, supports and continually improves robust data system and tools that are used for reporting
  • Provides customer service support to local YMCA and YMCA of the USA staff with functions related to data collection and reporting for Healthy Living Programs or Practices
  • Processes data reports for distribution to Ys and the program team according to routines established by the Senior Manager
  • Integrates multiple data sources for the purpose of distributing dashboards and preparing and contributing to reports for key stakeholders
  • Identifies trends in reported data which may activate the Quality Improvement or program teams to conduct further analysis
  • Bolsters research efforts in the early learning and afterschool fields to inform the Healthy Living Program and Practices Division’s research and evaluation efforts
  • Works with Directors, Senior Managers and Technical Advisors serving on Chronic Disease Prevention Programs (focused on healthy aging) and Healthier Communities Initiatives teams to incorporate local learning into reporting tools and improve resources that help Ys more effectively use their reporting data
  • Supports a potentially growing team and work with consultants to provide  new data sources to advance the dissemination of programs or practices that address the three critical social issues of Chronic Disease Prevention, Health Equity and Healthy Aging led by the Senior Manager
  • Coordinates with other stakeholders in creating reports and aligning data practices with organizational data management strategy
  • Ensures integrity of and regularly audit data collected in support of  evaluations being conducted on relevant programs or practices
  • Provides data collecting, reporting and translation support that impacts communications strategies, which can include: narrative success stories in partnership with other team members
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Senior Manager, Chronic Disease Prevention Programs
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree is required.  Master’s degree is preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in knowledge management, data collection, data and trend analysis with a large number of data sources is required
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required
  • Must possess excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills are required
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time
  • Experience building strong relationships effectively among a wide variety of stakeholders to advance a common cause is preferred
  • Experience building systems to support a vast amount of program data is preferred
  • Experience using statistical software, such as SPSS and STATA, is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record system, like athenaNet, is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve and take initiative to complete assignments
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize data and simplify it for non-technical audiences, such as through the use of visual displays
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines within a fast-paced work environment

Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00
