As the Associate on the School and Systems Leadership team you will be an integral part of the team responsible for Teach For America’s national work to support aspiring and current school and systems leaders. Specifically, you will be responsible for organizing all operations and logistics for our direct to constituent programming that serves rising and sitting school and system leaders. This includes travel booking, event planning and logistics planning and running on the ground operations for these programs. You will also be responsible for some administrative aspects of the other work of the School and Systems Leadership team as needed.
You are excited by creating smooth and seamless learning experiences for adults who work in schools & school systems. You are extremely organized and also able to be extremely flexible when on the ground implementing programming. You’re motivated by providing a seamless participant experience that anticipates and responds to participant needs. You’re a constant learner and operate a sense of possibility through challenges.
Plan, Organize and Execute Logistics for Direct to Constituent Programming (75%)
- Book transportation, lodging and meals for programming run by the team
- Work with the program lead(s) to integrate logistical elements into all programs that are efficient and in line with the vision for the programs
- Work with external vendors to arrange payment for all necessary components in the programming
- Create detailed logistical plans for all programming that are shared with all team members
- Manage on the ground logistics for all programming including flexibly troubleshooting challenges to ensure a positive participant experience
Additional support for team wide operations as needed including but not limited to: (25%)
- Support on finance including processing invoices and check requests to ensure team wide financial compliance
- Maintain compliance with data entry into Salesforce and other mechanisms
- Support on communications related work including social media maintenance, website maintenance and newsletter creation
- Prior experience planning and executing events
- Must be able to travel up to 12 times per year in the U.S. including some weekends
- Must have valid driver’s license and willing/able to drive
- Ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds
