The Project Coordinator, Marketing Communications is responsible for the coordination of assigned projects and administrative support for the department. This position supports the Project Manager in the execution of assigned projects for the department.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Supports the Project Manager in the coordination and execution of assigned projects for the department
  • Updates project plans and tracks progress of projects in excel, SharePoint and Daptiv
  • Prepares and files payment requests, tracks expenses and reports related to the budget of the department
  • Prepares and edits documents, newsletters, presentations, or surveys as assigned by subject matter expert
  • Supports meetings, which includes but is not limited to: scheduling, logistics, webinar set-up and technical assistance, preparing and disseminating materials
  • Proofreads copy or artwork revisions and edits authorized by subject matter expert
  • Creates registration websites for assigned events and prepares related reports
  • Serves as the primary/level 2 support, responding to local Ys for Healthy Kids Day and Nationwide Campaign e-mail accounts
  • Conducts topical research via internet, survey or interviews
  • Publishes and edits content on assigned Exchange pages per subject matter experts requests and knowledge management governance policies
  • Assists in processing contracts, ensuring they are initiated, completed and executed appropriately
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Project Manager
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience is required
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 5 years of senior administrative or project coordination work experience is required
  • Experience supporting a marketing or communications department is a plus
  • Experience handling multiple priorities and meeting multiple deadlines is required
  • Knowledge of basic project management is required
  • Knowledge of basic accounting is required
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel) is required
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required
  • Must possess initiative and strategic thinking competencies
  • Ability to build relationships and work with staff at all levels within an organization is required
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment is required
  • Requires a commitment to the YMCA character development values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility
Compensation/Benefits: 

$53,000.00 - $60,000.00
