Administrator, Comprehensive Faculty Development Program

Summary: The Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support for the Comprehensive Faculty Development Program, the Faculty Mentoring and Coaching Program, and for the spectrum of faculty development programs, products, and resources. In this key role, the incumbent will also provide administrative support for the new Committee on Faculty Development and for other committees, task forces, and workgroups focusing on the development and launch of various programs, products, and resources. The incumbent will also be responsible for the development of marketing materials for this new program.  This Exempt level position will report to the Senior Manager, Comprehensive Faculty Development Program.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • The incumbent will be responsible for providing administrative support for the Comprehensive Faculty Development Program and the Faculty Mentoring and Coaching Program.   
  • The incumbent will be responsible for the spectrum of faculty development programs, products, and resources.   
  • The incumbent will provide administrative support for the new Committee on Faculty Development and for other committees, task forces, and workgroups focusing on the development and launch of various programs, products, and resources.  
  • The incumbent will be responsible for the development of marketing materials for this new program.  
  • Other duties as assigned. 
Skills/Experience: 

Required Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Health Sciences, Business Management, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred. 
  • Courses in education, curriculum development, instructional design, learner assessment, program evaluation, project management, and organizational dynamics are preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working in a similar or related role required.
  • Able to research academic material from the Internet and develop electronic educational materials.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) necessary to effectively interact with all levels of organization.
  • Capable of providing excellent customer service.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Experience with Adobe Acrobat and/or database management is a plus. 
  • Display high level of energy and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with all division teams and management while maintaining a high level of confidentiality. 
  • Experience in Associations, professional services, healthcare, and/or education desired.

Fiscal Management: This position is required to provide staff support to the supervisor in the development of the unit’s annual budget, program or project budget.

Physical/Work Environment: Fast paced with significant people interaction. No lifting over 20 pounds, minimal reaching bending and stooping. Performs work in a normal office environment with long hours in front of the computer.

Other Necessary Requirements: Evening or weekend duties may be required. Moderate travel (quarterly) for activities such as out of town meetings is required. Valid driver’s license required.
