The Executive Director (ED), supporting the West Virginia Chapter, will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the chapter's staff, programs, growth, and delivery of the Association's mission, in accordance with our Strategic Plan. The ED will be an essential partner in the Association's strategic plan to support millions of people living with the disease and their families while accelerating research progress and change the trajectory of Alzheimer's disease.
The ED will build strong working relationships with all of the Association's administrative and functional leaders including the Senior Management Team. This leadership position will receive a foundation of support from the Regional Director, the National Office located in Chicago, and the Public Policy team in Washington, D.C.
- Develop and execute a strategic implementation plan with the Chapter's leadership team, to deliver on all stated organization strategic goals
- Ensure ongoing local programming excellence, conduct program evaluation and needs analysis to maintain superior delivery.
- Lead revenue opportunities including Walk to End Alzheimer's, The Longest Day, and other Association events.
- Lead volunteer recruitment to ensure appropriate resources are in place to achieve the chapter's goals and objectives.
- Serve as community liaison by participating in community events, serving as local spokesperson, and collaborating with partners to achieve strategic goals
- Collaborate with other EDs in Region 10 (which encompasses all of Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia), and specifically with the Ohio EDs on Ohio Council (State Committee to Address Ohio Public Policy)
- Create and manage chapter budget, maintain financial records, and oversee daily office functions.
