The Membership Director will report directly to the CEO and COO. This position will be critical to the overall growth of the Stephens Family YMCA. This position will require an individual that is willing to interact with our community and communicate the values of the YMCA. The Membership Director will also oversee all the functions related to the overall member experience. The marketing portion of the job will center primarily on the YMCA’s digital marketing presence.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Promotes program and membership enrollment with existing and potential members.
- Ensures a level of service and engagement that fosters loyalty among those we serve
- Organizes membership events at the YMCA and represents the YMCA at community events to promote the YMCA
- Oversees front desk personnel
- Engages in activities to recruit and retain new members to the YMCA
- Engages in conversations with members who have dropped their membership in order to understand the customer experience
- Oversee the digital marketing function at the YMCA
- Make presentations about the YMCA
- Planning and coordination of special events
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, public relations, or a related field
Skills/Experience:
- 3 or more years of work experience in a supervisory role involving customer experiences
- Demonstrated competence in a decision making role preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- YMCA Team Leader certification preferred
- Willing to develop strong community and corporate relationships
- Strong technology skills, especially in the area of social media
- Outgoing and engaging personality
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00
