The Cambridge Y is seeking a qualified Lead Teacher who is enthusiastic, reliable, and has great classroom management skills.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Supervise the children and classroom activities at all times
- Able to conduct parent conferences and write progress reports
- Always promote positive relationships with families, supervisors, and co-workers
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Attend and participate in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and maintain 20 hours of staff trainings per year
- Follow the YMCA and EEC polices and procedures including those related to medical and disciplinary situations
- Plan and carry out a strong emergent curriculum with the teachers in the Preschool team
Educational Background:
AS/BA Degree Preferred
Skills/Experience:
- Able to work in a team environment
- Able to supervise staff and children and provide quality care for our families
- Able to work with the Child Care Director to manage and run the day to day operations of the classroom
- Minimum of 1 year as a Lead Teacher in a Preschool setting
- Infant and Child CPR and First Aid
- EEC Lead Teacher certified
Compensation/Benefits:
Hourly: $18.00 - $21.00
