The Cambridge YMCA is seeking a qualified After School Coordinator who is enthusiastic, reliable, and has great management skills.

The After School Coordinator, in conjunction with the staff, the planning and implementing of the daily schedule for After School, vacation and summer programs. The Coordinator is responsible for the interviewing, orientation, training, and evaluating of all the After School staff. The After School Coordinator will also be responsible for the children's files and will help the Childcare Director with the enrollment of new children.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Supervision of children, staff, and volunteers
  • Maintain a high level of safety at all times
  • Maintain a clear understanding of school-age state regulations
  • Assist staff in designing curriculum
  • Plan all field trips and activities for the summer program
  • Meet with the Childcare Director weekly
  • Other duties as assigned by the Childcare Director
Educational Background: 
College degree with equivalent experience working with school-age children
Skills/Experience: 
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent management skills with staff and parents
  • Ability to work with and supervise children/parents from a broad range of socioeconomic backgrounds
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $40,000.00 - $44,000.00
