The Youth Director is responsible for administering the total operation of the Youth Department at the Caldwell Branch.
The Caldwell YMCA opened its doors on October 27, 2005. Since that time it has become a hallmark of the community, impacting the lives of thousands of kids and families. Facility amenities include a large cardio and weight floor, full-court basketball gym, three fitness studios, and a state of the art aquatics center including a lap-pool, splash pad, pretzel slide, and lazy-river.
Through sports, fitness, arts, education, leadership, and camp programs, Treasure Valley Family YMCA helps youth develop values, improve skills, and build healthy relationships. The Youth Director is responsible for administering the total operation of the Youth Department at the Caldwell Branch, overseeing the safe management of programs, facilities, volunteer and staff development, and philanthropy within the department.
- Work closely with Youth staff to ensure department operations are consistent with approved Leading Practices.
- Supervise Youth staff, including hiring, onboarding, role-modeling, coaching, scheduling, and on-going development.
- Expand existing programs and establish new programs and activities in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
- Respond to member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
- Develop and monitor program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
- Manage all aspects of programming to ensure budget, quality and safety expectations are met.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications team to market and distribute program information.
- Operate in a synergistic manner with other YMCA branches and departments to increase participation through cross-promotion and education.
- Be a contributing member of assigned Association Program Strategy Team.
- Engaging and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.
- Coordinate use of Health and Well-being facilities for program activities and events, including working with other Y and community leaders as needed.
- Meet position-specific requirements in the Annual Campaign plan and assist in other YMCA fund raising activities and special events.
- Develop and maintains relationships with current and potential funding sources in coordination with Branch and Association staff.
- Serve as Program Committee liaison.
- Experience in curriculum design, conflict-management, staff/volunteer development, managing an operating budget, and program development required.
- Candidate must show competence within Microsoft Windows and Office Suite and an overall ability to learn new software programs. Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification within 45 days of hire is required.
Salary: $35,380.00 - $44,240.00
