Somerset County YMCA is looking for a dynamic customer service professional to ensure exemplary member service and member satisfaction at the Somerville and Bridgewater branch locations.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • The Membership Coordinator reports to the Membership Director and is primarily responsible for implementing superior customer service and initiating engagement activities.  S/he serves members and guests in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner.  Creates and manages Member Service Representative work schedules. Serves as fill in when employees are absent. Manages tour schedule and trains all new Member Service Representatives. Assists with new member orientations and staff meetings.  Responsible for planning and implementing membership appreciation events and engagement activities. 
Educational Background: 
Associate Degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent work experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Ideal candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office and database systems such as Daxko (will train). Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service. Exceptional speaking, communication and critical thinking skills.  Must have the ability to build relationships, problem solve, work well with staff, and possess mature interpersonal skills. Experience with multi-tasking and proven skills in prioritizing are required.
