350.org is looking for an experienced movement leader to oversee our programme in Latin America in support of a growing team that is working passionately for a fossil free world and a just transition to renewable energy for all.
Latin America faces major threats from the fossil fuel industry, from deforestation, from a wide range of climate change impacts, and to the activists themselves trying to address these challenges. At the same time the region has enormous potential for transitioning to renewable energy providing energy access to all its citizens.
We want to sharpen our strategy and scale our impact over the next crucial decade, as we’re expanding our efforts to stop fracking and scale up a revamped Fossil Free campaign that provides new tools and resources to fight against fossil fuel development and move us quickly to a just transition to 100% renewable energy that works for all and that puts people over profit.
