350.org’s Latin America is looking for an enthusiastic and diligent Brazil Digital Organizer! 

The Brazil Digital Organizer will implement digital strategies and actions to support the 350.org campaigns and projects in the country. This person will lead digital content production and support with storytelling for national, subnational and local campaigns. This person will also work with our organizing team to offer digital support services for partners and alliances, as required by the Country Team Leader. The function also includes digital support to regional and global action initiatives, creation and follow-up of local groups and partnerships, as well as to enhance use of social media for the accomplishment of 350.org goals.

This role offers a unique window into the inner workings of the organisation and the climate movement. It will be ideal for a highly organised, detail-oriented individual who has a strong interest in progressive social change and the way organisations work. The right candidate will be kind and approachable, and ready to take on challenges. They will be committed to their own well-being and the well-being of others, an excellent communicator, and able to function in a remote team that rarely meets in-person. They’ll have the ability to exercise discretion, maintain calm under pressure, and have strong prioritisation and time-management instincts.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Implement the digital strategy and activities for national campaigns in Brazil, and monitor its outcomes and results
  • Participate in team and organizational process to develop campaign and organizational strategies
  • Develop content digital production to support campaigns
  • Create, maintain and update campaign websites, action pages and social media groups in Brazil
  • Write and send email blasts for audiences in Brazil
  • Create recruitment and storytelling plans for mass mobilizations and days of action
  • Regularly update 350.org’s Brazil social media pages and also assist in updating and uploading the Latin American 350.org pages
  • Regularly answer requests in social media
  • Support to live coverage and report-back of campaign events
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least three (3) years of experience with digital tools and digital campaign
  • Good skills in social media content production (blog, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and others)
  • Good writing skills with good understanding of SEO
  • Digital analytic skills
  • Knowledge in SEM, and Facebook Ads
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in clear, concise terms (written and verbally)
  • Ability to connect and interview people during actions on the ground
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Availability to travel often to cover actions or happenings on the ground
  • Has an interest in social & environmental justice issues, and/or experience working in international contexts across a variety of cultures

Desired (but not required) skills and experiences

  • Experience with digital photography and video producing
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe LightRoom
  • Understand and speaks Spanish
