The Director of Operations manages the Production Director, Project Manager, CFO, Office Assistant, and Bookkeeper. This critical position is focused on developing, managing, and executing annual strategic goals, creating and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for project, fundraising, and employee performance, developing internal processes to stabilize accelerated start-up growth in the facilitation of N+T’s vision to make Boston a public art city. The Director of Operations works closely with the Executive Director (ED) to ensure both long and short-term goals are met. This is a full-time role.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop a multi-year organizational staffing plan to distribute leadership and lessen dependencies on founder/ED.

Develop and manage human resources including but not limited to hiring, onboarding, and annual 360 performance reviews.

Develop and manage KPIs for:
-
program success including standardizing metrics tracked (e.g., impressions, daily visitation, digital engagement, community partners engaged, artists paid)

employee performance and job satisfaction
-
donor satisfaction and retention
-
Board of Directors (e.g., ideal size, committee development)

Support and stimulate the Board of Directors in their work as fundraisers and ambassadors with timely program updates and quarterly fundraising reports.

Manage financial controls with CFO and Bookkeeper and provide cash flow projections for ED.

Manage Project Manager and Project Director in the successful execution of 4-6 projects annually.

Manage Office Assistant, interns and other part-time contractors required for office maintenance and/or other special projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:

5-10 years of non-profit administration management
-
Skills and proven results in designing and executing operational systems

Experience in responsibly scaling a start-up organization

Experience with non-profit accounting and reporting

Excellent verbal and written communication skills matched by superb interpersonal skills (see Key Behaviors)

Systems experience with Salesforce, Quickbooks, MS Office, and Google Suite
HOURS:
This is a full-time, 40-hour/week position with the option for remote work. Some weekend and evening work may be required.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Compensation is commensurate with experience ($70,000) and will be discussed with applicants who are invited to interview.
