The School & Community Partnerships team collaborates with schools, districts, and networks across Massachusetts to facilitate the hiring of Teach For America corps members and alumni at our partner schools and other education organizations. The Associate, School & Community Partnerships (ASCP) will play a key role in supporting this critical talent work by providing exceptional operational and administrative support on a dynamic, fast-paced, and mission-driven team. The ideal candidate is exceptionally well-organized, flexible, and motivated by supporting the success of a team through top-notch operational work.

The School & Community Partnerships team is a newly formed function of the Massachusetts regional team. Deeply rooted in our strategy of meeting the talent needs of our partner schools and communities, this team works statewide to attract and retain talented educators for K-12, district/CMO, and other education organization roles. With the support of your manager, you will support other team members as they execute their visions for Massachusetts talent strategy.

The Associate, School & Community Partnerships reports to the Senior Managing Director, School & Community Partnerships.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Team Operations and Administrative Duties (50%)

  • Schedule corps member interviews and phone calls
  • Support event planning and execution
  • Process SCP team expenses and track team spending
  • Provide administrative support to the team as needed

Data Management (30%)

  • Track data and progress related to key corps member onboarding processes
  • Maintain updated spreadsheets that track our progress to achieving talent goals across sub-regions
  • Manage corps member hiring paperwork and related systems
  • Maintain updated records in our web-based constituent tracking system 

Communications (10%)

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive corps member hiring website
  • Create and send corps member email blasts

Regional Team Responsibilities (10%)

  • Support, attend, and/or participate in regional team activities, including regular staff meetings and retreats, and regional pre-service (one week in June).
  • Participate in team-wide initiatives and campaigns, such as interviewing candidates for the corps and welcoming corps members during their first week of Institute.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree required
Skills/Experience: 
  • 1-3 years of professional experience preferred

Skills

  • Positive, upbeat approach to supporting busy people with complex tasks
  • Exceptional attention to detail when working with data, scheduling, and written communication
  • MS Office (esp. Excel) and Google Docs skills required
  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRMs highly preferred; familiarity with Pardot or other online publishing tools preferred

Work Demands

  • Position is scoped for 45 hrs/week, with some additional hours during peak periods
  • Occasional evening or weekend work will be required
  • Some travel required for conferences or trainings (1-2 times/year)
