Serving over 20,000 active youth, adult, and family members, the West Branch of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA helps members lead a healthier, happier life.  Facility amenities and features include six fitness studios, three racquetball courts, full-court basketball gym, youth activity center, climbing wall, and aquatics center.  Aquatic center amenities include a 50-meter swimming pool, training pool, children’s pool, and hydrotherapy pool. The aquatics center offers competitive and recreational programming including swim lessons, swim team, water fitness, water polo, and more.

The Aquatics Director is responsible for administering the total operation of the department within Branch and Association parameters, overseeing the safe management of programs, facilities, volunteer and staff development, and financial development within the department.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • This is a full-time position with a full benefits package. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, with some evening and weekend hours required for trainings and to meet the needs of our members, donors, and volunteers.
  • Must have the ability to lift at least 50lbs. Must have the ability to walk, bend, lean, kneel, swim, sit or stand while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time. Must have ability to work in wet, hot, loud, humid environments. Must be able to work in noisy areas up to 85dB. 
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Business Management, or related field
Skills/Experience: 
  • Equivalent experience is required. Experience in aquatics or recreation program management required.  Strong background in human relations, budgeting, program management, and volunteer/staff development required. 
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $33,000.00 - $41,250.00
