This position, under the direction of the Director of Accounting will provide support to the organization’s finance and business operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the accounting and reporting systems as well as the development and maintenance of internal financial controls; day-to-day accounting procedures, month-end close and ad hoc projects as necessary and requires general accounting responsibilities including journal entries, accounting reconciliations, accruals, deferrals and grant accounting and collections. This position will also execute and perform annual projects to include budget preparation, certified audit process, procedural and process audits and other special projects as may be assigned in a learning environment.
- Preparation and posting journal entries,
- Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts,
- Preparation of financial statements package with all schedules,
- Research of variances,
- Correspondence with branches to ensure proper and timely accounting for posting transactions,
- Preparation of checks/receipts for deposits,
- Special events reports,
- Preparation of Operating and Payroll accounts bank reconciliations,
- Maintaining Temp-Restricted funds schedule,
- Analysis of monthly financial assistance,
- Preparation of Metrics report,
- Billings to third parties,
- Maintaining quarterly Primetime report,
- Analysis and audit of membership,
- Assistance with implementation of accounting procedures,
- Preparation of reports detailing monthly revenue by revenue center,
- Follow up with customers’ inquiries,
- Assistance to VP/CFO and Director of Accounting with special projects,
- Provide information for auditors and other special projects,
- Managing Collections process and chargebacks.
- 2 or more years of related experience,
- A proven track record of academic and professional excellence,
- Experienced and skilled in A/R and Collections,
- Must be detailed oriented with the ability to provide accurate and timely information,
- Excellent mathematical and computational skills,
- Excellent computer skills – must have strong proficiency in Excel,
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment,
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and through collaboration,
- Ability to adhere to Fiscal policies and procedures,
- Ability to adhere to GAAP,
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required,

Salary: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00
