Working under the direction of the Executive Director, in collaboration with a dedicated team of Family Center staff, and operations professionals, and as an exempt employee, your primary responsibility will be to support the Association’s objective of membership growth, member retention and volunteer cultivation through leadership in reporting, analysis and engagement for a full facility YMCA.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Assist in preparation of internal and external financial reporting
  • Assist in membership, program and other operational data analysis
  • Responsible for pledges and accounts receivable billings and collections
  • Initiates, tracks, and manages purchase orders
  • Responsible for accurate and timely processing of the family center bills, payroll and contract administration
  • Assist in staff training on policies and procedures
  • Assist with new hire paperwork and delivery to local human resources
  • Act as the HR/Payroll liaison for the Branch
  • Develop partnerships with multiple agencies from different sectors to establish a good working relationship for volunteer cultivation and recruitment
  • Assist with Branch Advisory Board  
  • Recruit, motivate, support, track and accredit volunteers
  • Staff Liaison for the Togetherhood Committee
  • Ensure data integrity, safeguarding of physical assets and keeping confidential information secure
  • Providing staff support to all YMCA special events.  Lead staff for annual Golf Outing
  • Provide leadership and support to annual campaign, including donor recruitment
  • Serve as Manager On Duty when scheduled
  •  All other duties as assigned by Management  

This position has a primary impact on the overall effectiveness with which the family center accomplishes its purpose, goals and objectives in serving the community.  Therefore, the effectiveness of this position should be measured by the following: 

  • The Family Center will increase net annual membership from the prior year
  • The Family Center will increase membership revenue from previous year
  • The community will better understand the YMCA programs and the need to support them
  • Community will see the YMCA as an organization of choice for volunteer opportunities
  • The members will better understand the YMCA’s charitable mission
  • The Family Center will achieve specific participation/attendance figures in key program area
Educational Background: 
A bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university in business, finance or related field preferred 
Skills/Experience: 
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills must have been obtained and demonstrated through past job experiences.
  • Must possess the skills to operate standard office and computer equipment. Must possess effective communication, organizational and budgeting skills. Must be familiar with the basic operations of Microsoft Office Suite, Power Point and Excel.
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • May be required to sit for extended periods of time while demonstrating manual dexterity in order to accurately work on the phone, computer keyboard, and other equipment.
  • Must possess auditory, verbal and visual capabilities in order to adequately communicate via phone and in person.   
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00
