The Senior Manager, Total Rewards will ensure effective communication, vendor management, and general support in executing the company’s Total Rewards (benefits, compensation, wellness and recognition/rewards) programs, initiatives, and strategic objectives.  In particular, the Senior Manager, Total Rewards will manage the Foundation’s wellbeing and recognition programs and help to develop and deliver ongoing enhancements to these programs including a robust set of monitoring tools and a comprehensive communication strategy.  The role will manage ongoing health and welfare programs in the areas of employee plan communications and legal compliance.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Well-being

  • Responsible for developing, planning, marketing and executing company-wide wellness initiatives and programs.
  • Manage wellbeing portal vendor and fitness challenge vendor to ensure branding and configuration of program engages and inspires participation.
  • Develop relationship with external broker, carrier account management and other vendors in order to leverage the medical plan for wellness initiatives.
  • Work with the company’s insurance carriers to increase participation in lifestyle management programs, increase compliance rates for preventative screenings and preventative medicine, overall.
  • Leads internal Wellbeing Champions Committee to ensure input into and support for wellbeing programs is collected and acted upon in operation of Wellbeing program.
  • Responsible for gathering and analyzing data to measure success on wellness programs and initiatives.
  • Compile comprehensive monthly objectives report on participation, programs and outcomes.
  • Compile quarterly comprehensive scorecard that outlines the impact of the wellness program to provide to Foundation leadership.

Recognition

  • Manages current Foundation recognition programs including Service Recognition and Super Star program.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with recognition vendor(s).
  • Responsible for developing planning, marketing and executing new recognition programs and initiatives.

Total Rewards

  • Assist with trend scouting and evaluating market-competitive programs and perks that attract, retain and engage talent, and further the Foundation’s employer brand image.
  • Partner with external vendors and consultants as well as internal communications experts to develop ongoing communications that engage employees using various tools and modes of communication on wellbeing including financial, social and emotional in addition to physical.
  • Maintain updates to Total Rewards communication content on Foundation intranet.
  • Maintain Summary Plan Descriptions, Plan Documents, Benefit Summaries and Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBCs).
  • Ensure Foundation compliance with notice provisions of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA), Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and other pertinent laws.
  • Assist with preparation of reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies (e. g., Form 5500, Non-Discrimination Testing, etc.).
  • Assist with compensation review projects, as well as other ongoing Total Rewards processes as needed.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field is required.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience with employee wellbeing and benefit programs including 401k.
  • Ability to communicate highly effectively, both verbally and in writing, with employees, management, and benefit vendors/consultants.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced total rewards department.
  • Mathematical skills commensurate with ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets, successfully manage HRIS and data audits, and manage billing reconciliations.
  • High standards of quality and accuracy; attention to detail a must.
  • Excellent and responsive customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including navigation/translation of legal plan documents.
  • Proven experience writing direct-to-employee communications.
  • Must be self-motivated and results oriented; must take ownership of projects and produce results.
  • Ability to manage confidential and/or sensitive issues and policies.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • CBP or CEBS certification preferred.
  • Recognition program management preferred.
  • Prior compensation program management preferred.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to the Senior Director, Total Rewards.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust and temperature.
  • No heavy lifting required.
  • Limited travel to conferences and meetings, as necessary.
