The Senior Manager of Healthcare, Wellness, and Retirement plans is responsible for the all aspects of benefit plans and programs in the areas of health and welfare, 401k, and wellness. This includes selection and design recommendations; ensuring successful employee experience with team members and carriers; administration of plans working effectively with ADP; engagement with broker relationships; meeting compliance requirements; cost analysis; providing reports as needed; and data analytics. This position presents recommendations and information to our Benefits & 401K Committee comprised of senior leadership during quarterly meetings and as needed.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Ensures CFF offers a comprehensive set of programs and plans that support our culture and facilitate high recruitment and retention results.
  • Develops, implements and provides ongoing management of wellness programs, incorporating all components including physical, financial, and work/life balance.
  • Develops programs for reflecting needs and interests of generational differences, home based employees, and field population.
  • Makes recommendations for changes to existing benefits or additions, as appropriate.
  • Manages the administration of employee benefits through ADP and designated carriers.
  • Ensures team responds promptly to employee inquiries and resolves issues in a timely fashion, involving vendors and consultants as needed.
  • Communicates key messages to employees in line with CFF branding and practices.
  • Ensures efficient enrollment of new employee and all changes.
  • Processes 401k withdrawals, hardships and cash outs.
  • Oversees termination and conversion of benefits as required, including but not limited to the COBRA process.
  • Works closely with the compliance team on management of leave of absences.
  • Responsible for all areas of the open enrollment period for benefits.
  • Responsible for annual benefits statement mailing.
  • Responsible for government benefit reporting, ensuring all paperwork is completed. accurately and distributed in a timely fashion to the appropriate party.
  • Responsible for annual DOL benefit/401k mailings.
Educational Background: 
Four-year college degree (equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for degree).
Skills/Experience: 
  • Successful track record of ten or more years managing benefits similar to CFF programs and in a complex organization.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state benefit laws and relevant human resources best practices. Strong commitment to ethics and importance of maintaining the confidentiality of personnel and benefit information and records.
  • Strong HRIS knowledge and skills (ADP experience a plus).
  • Solid experience with excel spreadsheets and ad-hoc reporting skills.
  • Strong initiative, efficient follow-through, demonstrated sound and accurate judgment with an ability to support and explain reasoning for decisions.Includes appropriate people in decision-making process and ensures timely decisions are made.
  • Clear, concise, effective business communication skills, both verbal and written.
