Due to the substantial increase in assets, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is expanding its Investment Team. With senior leadership of this team in place, the focus is on hiring and retaining a few talented Investment Associates and/or Directors to support the active management of the investment portfolio. A strong academic background with prior experience and exposure at a foundation, endowment, or institutional asset manager is required.

In a generalist role, Associates and Directors share responsibility for the entire investment process. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Investment due diligence, selection, and monitoring of investment partners, including fund managers, co-investments, and direct investments
  • Sourcing new opportunities and investment partners across the globe across all asset classes (public markets, private markets, and absolute return)
  • Conducting primary research on asset classes, portfolio and risk allocation, and capital markets
  • Preparing and presenting investment analysis and recommendations to Team Investment Committee and Board Investment Committee
  • Developing frameworks for continued improvements across the investment process, including investment operations, performance management, and risk management
  • Working closely with the broader organization

  • Integrates complex information and concepts and synthesizes into a systematic framework
  • Involves others in the decision-making process; willingly makes tough or unpopular decisions
  • Takes courageous, decisive action and makes timely and independent decisions that are in the best interests of the organization
