The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation – the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis, and one of the most innovative and successful organizations of its kind – is seeking a Program Coordinator to join our medical team.
We are a nonprofit, donor-supported organization that has raised and invested hundreds of millions of dollars to help develop cystic fibrosis therapies that have changed the lives of people with this disease. Nearly every CF medicine available today was made possible because of Foundation support.
Based in Bethesda, Md., the Foundation created, funds and accredits a national network of cystic fibrosis care centers that have been recognized by the National Institutes of Health as a model of care for a chronic disease.
General Summary: The Coordinator position will work closely with the Sr. Program Associate to provide support to the Champion Advisory Committee and communication initiatives including meeting logistics, technology support, record keeping. The Coordinator may also provide support on a variety of projects as directed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate arrangements for meetings:
- prepare agendas and packets of essential material for meetings
- distribute agenda and materials in advance
- record, compose, and distribute minutes of meetings
- Support online video conferencing system during meetings
- Communicate with external stakeholders by phone, e-mail, and other venues in a timely, professional manner
- Prepare and modify programmatic documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails
- Track follow-up items from stakeholder meetings
- Coordinates logistical support for pilot programming as directed.
- Work with other departments within CFF and external partners to manage inquires, arrange joint conference calls, meetings
- Monitor conversation on the Champion and Yammer listserv and track topics of threads in Excel document
- Create brief surveys to capture needed information using online tools such as Survey Monkey
- Assists in the creation, modification and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Use a variety of software to create programmatic documents
- Perform general clerical duties including photocopying and mailing
- Processing check requests, honorariums, reimbursements, invoices using My Workplace.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 1-2 years experience in similar workplace environment
- Flexibility is required, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities as needed
- Ability to work well with many different types of people at all levels.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other data analysis software as needed
