The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is seeking a full-time IT Asset Manager to join our Operations team at our headquarters office conveniently located in downtown Bethesda, MD.
The IT Asset Manager’s primary function is to manage the Foundation’s IT assets and other inventories. The IT Asset Manager will be responsible for maintaining the Foundation’s IT Asset Management system (ITAM) to ensure proper tracking and monitoring of mobile capital assets as well as accuracy of information in the system. In addition, the IT Asset Manager will utilize the Foundation’s existing inventory processes to manage other inventories, including fulfillment items, IT supplies and other resources. Assists with other Operational duties as time allows.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administers ITAM system.
- Ensures accuracy of information and workflows
- Performs and documents periodic asset audits
- Verifies ongoing functionality of underlying feeds

- Ensures accuracy of information and workflows
- Maintains appropriate levels of assets in inventory to meet business needs.
- Initiates proactive resupply process via Procurement, provides consistent documentation and stable inventory levels.
- Maintains accurate, auditable, records of unassigned capital assets.
- Maintains accurate, auditable inventory for all other IT supplies and other resources.
- Periodically releases pending orders as required.
- Assists with bi-annual physical inventory.
- Addresses relevant JIRAs related to Asset Management.
- Maintains an accurate catalog of inventory items.
- Prepares Computers and other obsolete equipment for mass disposal and decommission.
- Ensures proper documentation is obtained and the ITAM system is updated.
- Maintains accurate records to inform Foundation’s Fixed Asset Register.
- Produces monthly asset “movement report” for Finance Department.
- Assists with other administrative and operational duties as required.
- Customer Service and Confidentiality: Exhibits strong customer service skills and ensures confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Six or more years related experience
- College Degree and relevant experience in a related field required – Finance or IT.
- Initiative, follow-through, sound and accurate judgment with an ability to support and explain reasoning for decisions. Includes appropriate people in decision-making process and ensures that timely decisions are made.
- Analytical skills with the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Access database knowledge helpful.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with a variety of employee and vendor issues. Good written and verbal communication skills.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports directly to the Director of Operations.
