This position will be part of the management team that oversees day-to-day operations of CF Foundation Compass and contributes to the strategic direction of the program. Compass is a personalized service to help people with CF with insurance, financial, legal, or other issues. The position oversees the regional case management team, and responsibilities include all tasks of case management, trainer, auditor, customer service, and higher-level problem solving. Position requires collaboration with internal and external customers and knowledge to properly triage cases to the appropriate groups as needed. Participates in community outreach initiatives to strengthen relationships between Compass, chapters, care center staff, local programs and resources, and CF community. Serves as back-up to Assistant Director and other members of the Compass management team as appropriate.
- A minimum of five years experience in a healthcare, pharmaceutical or contract research organization environment
- Background in insurance coverage and reimbursement
- Experience and knowledge of Federal and state assistance programs and their requirements
- Experience with co-pay foundations and patient assistance programs
- Experience conducting benefit investigations, prior authorizations, and appeals
- Experience with developing educational templates, cheat sheets, and resources for providers and patients.
- At least two years of supervisory or mentorship experience required
