The Germany Program Coordinator works in a program or country office and provides administrative, research, project management and other general assistance to the program Director working toward the achievement of conservation goals.
The Program Coordinator may manage data, participate in conservation project planning, participate in developing project concepts and proposals, respond to development partner inquiries and maintain project records. May include collecting, assembling and analyzing various types of data, producing maps using GIS software and assisting in the production of reports. Work may be done mostly office based in Berlin, with occasional travel to project regions or within Germany or Europe.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE
- Assist the Program Director with all program related duties, this may include
- coordinating multiple tasks or projects in a timely manner and with attention to detail.
- assisting with program budget preparation, reporting and monitoring.
- screening relevant websites and publications for calls for proposals
- developing templates to coordinate preparation of proposal documents
- supporting Program Director in meeting organization and follow-up
- assist Program Director in communication relevant to the program making day to day decision as delegated by the supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience coordinating multiple projects. Experience handling standard business communications.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Multi-lingual and multi-cultural or cross cultural experience appreciated
- 2-4 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to complete tasks independently within assigned time frames.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, with assignments sometimes coming from a number of sources and work independently.
- Ability to coordinate project information from a number of sources to populate databases, create reports and produce manual files.
- Experience utilizing databases for data entry and report production preferred.
- Strong administrative skills including attention to detail and numerical ability. Ability to plan, administer and record results of work-team meetings and activities
