The YMCA of Dodge County seeks a self-motivated, mission-driven professional to lead our membership team. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of association plan to recruit, retain, and recapture members and participants.

We seek an individual with experience building a staff team. Must be able to lead, train and supervise our membership associates to ensure outstanding customer service and communications.

Located 30 minutes from Madison, Wisconsin, the YMCA of Dodge County has a $2.5 million budget, an annual campaign goal of $150,000, and operates in a 12-year-old 65,000 square foot facility with the region's finest indoor water park. The Y has a strong full-service childcare center at the main facility and six before/after school sites located throughout the county. Programs are also driven by strong aquatic programs that includes operating six community aquatic centers.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Member Engagement Director is responsible for:

  • All aspects of the membership and marketing department including membership development, retention and marketing.
  • The position is also responsible for overall relationship development with members, volunteers, donors and the general community.
  • Develops and implements a comprehensive association marketing plan and calendar.
  • Coordinates all association communication; is a lead staff member for communications and role modeling strong relationship building and member service.
  • Participates in the planning of the annual budget; manages and implements the approved budget for membership and takes appropriate action to correct variances.
  • Participates as a member of the leadership staff team.
  • Incumbent must role model the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility and work daily to develop personal and meaningful relationships with members, volunteers, donors and others.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Previous supervisory experience in customer service preferred.
  • Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $39,000.00 - $47,000.00
