Executive Director of Healthy Living is responsible for the Leadership and Advancement of the Healthy Living strategy for the Association.
The Executive of Healthy Lifestyles will oversee the development and implementation of innovative curriculum and activities with consistently achieved program metrics, supervise, guide and develop staff to ensure that health seekers find personal success in a fun, supportive and safe environment. We are looking for an Executive Director who can create a culture of excellence within the YMCA to help us support our membership and strengthen our position as the largest membership-based, community service organization in the area.
Baton Rouge is Louisiana’s “Capital City” and the hub of all things Louisiana. With a prime, central location—just an hour away from New Orleans and Lafayette—Baton Rouge is the perfect city to explore the eclectic culture of this amazing state. Nicknamed the “Red Stick,” Baton Rouge houses over 300 years of history, much of which can be tasted in our delectable food, seen in our distinct architecture and learned through our unique culture. In addition, we are home to LSU and Southern University, which provide for numerous sporting events and activities close to home. Priorities will be to provide leadership to our wellness program teams related to wellness center staff, personal training and group exercise by providing direction, mentoring, support, and staff development. Champion the development of high quality, comprehensive, innovative health enhancement programs through all phases, including strategic planning, needs assessment, piloting, promotion, implementation and evaluation. Establishing quality standards regarding risk management, implementation consistency, and evaluation integration verified through audits, site visits, data collection and analysis.
This position requires a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position, a 4-year degree in a related field is required, group exercise and personal training experience, and should have a positive history of leadership in the areas of staff, volunteer and program development, fiscal budgeting and management, and operational procedures.
