Under the direction of the Vice President, the Director of Fitness Equipment Operations is responsible the development, design, and execution of the association preventative maintenance program related to fitness equipment. The Director will also provide guidance to program and property staff at all centers have expertise in how to use and maintain their equipment. The Director will also repair equipment as needed.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Design and implement the association preventive maintenance program related to wellness equipment
- Ensure safety and quality at all times as related to wellness equipment
- Assist with the various administrative tasks, coordinate schedules and complete all necessary reports; organize and provide wellness equipment repair inventory to meet all standard repair needs
- Collaborate with Executive Director of Fitness on equipment purchases and installations
- Develop and promote a positive relationship between the YMCA and its preferred equipment vendors
- Educate the appropriate personnel on equipment warranties, preventative maintenance processes, and parts ordering.
- Ensure all wellness equipment work orders are routed properly in a timely manner utilizing Facility Dude
- Inspect the condition of exercise equipment and repair as needed
- Ensure safety and quality at all times
- Supervise Equipment Technicians if hired in the future.
Educational Background:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Three - five years equipment maintenance experience
- Ability to demonstrate all exercise equipment and to make all needed equipment repairs.
- Advanced knowledge of a computerized work order system (Facility Dude Preferred)
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $57,000.00 - $62,000.00
