The Associate, Learning Experiences plays a pivotal role in helping the Learning Experiences team reach its ambitious goals, ensuring that logistics run smoothly for programmatic events that occur in the summer and throughout the year (i.e. SPARK, Learning Communities, Fellowships and Seminar). You are uniquely positioned to support matriculants, corps members, and alum with a holistic, spectrum long approach. Working with all of our leaders allows you to keep a birds-eye on the support provided to each constituency, foster relationships across our network, and serve as a touch-point for participants and team members. The Associate, Learning Experiences will report to the MD, Learning Experiences and will collaborate with all Learning Experiences team members in the planning and execution of all professional development opportunities, create and maintain systems for information sharing, and intentionally prioritize the interconnectivity of our corps, alumni and team.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Logistics & Operations (50%): You will provide logistics and operations support for all events led by the Experience team.  You will help the Experience team be good stewards of organizational resources, policies, and values.   Responsibilities will include things like:

  • Securing venues / spaces and food orders for Experience team events
  • Establishing a professional and welcoming décor at Experience team events
  • Collaborating w/ project managers to determine human capital needs and create appropriate Logistics Memos and Delineations of Responsibilities. 

Knowledge Management (30%): You will establish the systems necessary to maintain a strong information base for all of our learning experiences.  

  • Train Experience team on TFACT
  • Manage Experience team to ensure accurate TFACT updating
  • Maintain database of learning experiences (including project plan, reflections, evaluative metrics, participant feedback)
  • Maintain systems for strong information sharing
  • Maintain In Good Standing Document for corps members learning experiences.
  • Create and maintain a virtual learning experience database

Regional Team Support (20%):  You will support our regional team in ensuring all participants and stakeholders have a positive experience with the Teach For America Baltimore office. 

  • Maintain office feel and organization
  • Maintain Regional Calendar
  • Welcome Guests and Manage Regional Phone / Front Desk
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma with experience
Skills/Experience: 

We are seeking an individual who excels in relationship-building, thrives in a team environment, is results-oriented, and has strong organizational skills.  You should also have: 

  • 1 – 3 years professional experience
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to creatively problem solve with a sense of urgency
  • TFA Corps Experience
