As the Manager of Pipelines, you are at the forefront of ensuring that leaders in the Baltimore region are in roles that align their skills and passions to where they can increase the pace of change exponentially for students. You will use your understanding of the region’s landscape, our incoming corps members, and our alumni to make sure that the Baltimore region has access to a diverse, talented, and influential pool of leaders to fill key roles within schools and the community. You will also serve as a career consultant for our alumni who want to take on roles in organizations like schools, school districts, not-for-profits, and corporations. You are deliberate, creative, and perceptive. In this role, you will report directly to the Managing Director of Pipelines. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Work towards specific goals for placing and retaining Teach For America corps members and alumni into roles that impact students and families in Baltimore.
  • Lead and execute a culturally competent strategic vision for our Teach For America corps member school placement strategy, which includes analyzing the historical and current landscape.
  • Collaborate with our district partners and regional team members to position your approach for strategic impact on school placement.
  • Build intentional relationships with incoming Teach For America corps members and Teach For America alumni as you help them navigate decisions about their careers.
  • Motivate Teach For America alumni to discover their greatest potential, whether it is staying in a current role or taking the next opportunity.
  • Utilize data management systems to accurately report and track progress toward school placements, career goals, involvement with Teach For America, and make data-informed decisions.
  • Participate in regional duties as assigned such as recruitment, selection, and matriculation events.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree required
Skills/Experience: 

Prior Experience

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in education in Baltimore region preferred

 Work Demands

  • Ability to work some weekends and evenings
  • Ability to travel independently to multiple sites throughout the day that may be significant distances from one another
  • Ability to navigate school facilities that may or may not be ADA-compliant
