This role plays an integral function in the community schools strategy, primarily focused on leading grant-funded, outcomes based program (out-of-school and/or in-school) for elementary, middle or high school youth. Responsible for maintaining the program’s budget, hiring and management of associates, coordinating partnerships, tracking progress towards outcomes and writing reports. Program is located in a public school designated as a community school and is held during school hours and/or non-school hours with potential for summer programming. Depending upon the school site, this position can be tailored to fit the school and community’s specific needs. - Implement and oversee high quality, developmentally appropriate youth program that aligns with grant requirements (youth served up to 200 students)
- Supports the Community Schools Director in implementing the Community School strategy, culture, vision, and team morale
- Hire, develop, appraise, approve time and attendance, and when necessary participate in the progressive discipline process for direct reports (management and supervision for 10-30 associates)
- Develop positive relationship with school leadership while maintaining focus on and meeting job expectations
- Management and fiscal responsibility for budget range up to $500,000
- Provide data and narrative reports to meet monthly grant reporting requirements
- Maintains accurate registration, attendance, and schedule records
- Monitor staff hours and program spending to meet grant budget
- Attend, contribute to, and lead meetings
- Develop marketing materials and create social media presence on behalf of the school and program
- Seek, develop, and maintain relationships with partners that grow and sustain the program
- Commitment to professional development and staff training
- Other related duties as assigned
- Experience working in outcomes-based, grant-funded youth programs
- Experience working with targeted population
- Knowledge of stages of youth development; familiarity with Developmental Assets preferred
- Knowledge of youth program quality standards, measures and instruments
- Experience managing a team
Salary: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00
