Under the direction of the Associate Executive Director, the Program Director II will be responsible for the organization, delivery, and quality of YMCA program(s) to Y members, program participants, and the community. In coordination with the Associate Executive Director, this position is responsible for the development, management, supervision, and coordination of branch operations: including, but not limited to, After School Child Care and Camps. Additionally, this position is responsible for relationship building (parents, staff, principals, partners, & program participants); monitoring, evaluating, and improving program delivery; working collaboratively with colleagues to accomplish collective goals; staff training and development; program development; community outreach; special events; financial planning and maintenance of budget; board development; fundraising; and all other duties as assigned. This position works independently, under general direction, and is expected to determine how to accomplish tasks.
- Recruits, develops, supervises, and supports three or more full time staff and part time staff
- Conducts performance appraisals, rewards, and discipline
- Lead Spring Break and Winter Holiday Camp planning
- Oversee curriculum supply purchasing
- Lead field trip planning for Summer Camp
- Supervision of afterschool sites during school year
- Supervision of summer camps during summer
- Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program, including creating plans of action based on evaluations/suggestions.
- Partner with colleagues to implement and lead year-round training for part-time staff
- Impact Team representative
- Identify and cultivate partners to enhance existing on-site programming.
- Assist and implement recruitment strategies for staff, program participants, and volunteers
- Develops, monitors, and adheres to budgets to meet fiscal objectives
- Attends appropriate trainings and meetings to enhance the knowledge of your profession
- Promotes and incorporates the YMCA five core values, the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets, TEKS standards, and YUSA program initiatives into curriculum and program implementation.
- Provides leadership in all facets of the Annual Campaign
- Respond to all staff and community inquiries and complaints in a professional, friendly and timely manner
- Assist with association wide initiatives, meetings, conferences, and events.
- Serve as an exempt staff member to the YMCA of Austin, performing those duties as assigned by supervisor and President/CEO of the YMCA.

Experience - Three to five years direct experience managing full time staff in a fast paced program environment.

- Ability to speak effectively before groups of members, participants, or employees of the Association
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certifications:
- Position requires Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TDFPS) Program Director certification. Must be or have ability to become certified according to TDFPS standards.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification current or become certified upon hire
- Required to complete the following online trainings upon hire: Before & After School Program, Child Abuse Prevention, Appropriate Touch, Bloodborne Pathogens, Foundations of Listen First, and Intro to Cause and Culture.
Salary: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00
