At Partners for HOME (PFH), your challenge will be to ensure we create a highly coordinated, crisis response system that delivers outcomes and measures to ensure individuals experiencing homelessness under priority bridges have access to information, emergency shelter, transportation, housing navigation, and permanent housing.

Job Title: Emergency Bridge Response Manager

Reports to: Director, Housing

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a contracted position that is expected to last 4-5 months, not to exceed 1800 hours. This person may be expected to work outside of standard business hours and possibly beyond 40 hours/week. This position is considered an essential employee and will have to work in the field.

This position is for an ambitious and industrious crisis project manager who will undertake a variety of administrative and project management tasks, which will include, but not be limited to:

  • Work in close partnership with the Continuum of Care (CoC) Service partners, Mayor’s office, City of Atlanta Staff/Departments, and other key stakeholders to develop and initiate strategic crisis response activities to support
  • Will organize all aspects of the city’s response to rehousing homeless individuals taking shelter under priority bridges
  • Will oversee standing up of temporary emergency shelter
  • Will coordinate transportation of individuals to shelter and permanent housing
  • Will manage budget and develop a response system that is within budget
  • Will oversee coordination of community-wide street outreach response and housing placement in partnership with PFH outreach staff

Skills/Experience: 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High energy and a passion for the CoC’s mission and goals
  • 3+ years of experience in project management during a crisis/emergency or disaster
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Preferred record of measurable results during an emergency or disaster
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast paced environment are required.
  • Superb organizational skills, with the proven ability to create and implement efficient development systems, plan strategically, allocate work, set and manage objectives, analyze and mitigate risk, and create and manage projects
  • Ability to excel in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, diverse, results-oriented environment, and to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines and in an emergency
  • Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a broad spectrum of stakeholders
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to perceive and understand people’s motivations
  • Highly industrious with a strong work ethic; sense of urgency/impatience for action
  • Integrity and humility that encourages and inspires constituents; strong sense of judgment
  • Ability to seek out constructive criticism and growth
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, consistently meeting expectations and commitments on tight deadlines, all while managing a variety of tasks and relationships in an efficient and meticulous manner
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and of project management tools

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in homeless services or 3 years in disaster or emergency management

COMPENSATION

This is a temporary, contractual position, which pays $50-60/hour, depending on experience. There are no benefits for this position.
