Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Operations, the Executive Branch Director will develop a strong branch board, increase annual giving, engaging the community through increasing membership and programs while advancing the Y’s impact in the community. This YMCA is an integral part of an innovative and award winning planned community which features a live, work and play environment. This position is primarily responsible for the branch’s day-to-day operations, including adherence to the association’s 2020 strategic plan: empower healthy living, ensure school readiness, improve academic achievement and inspiring civic leadership.
Under the direction of the Senior Vice President, this impactful leader will have primary responsibility for the branch’s day-to-day operations. Experience in and a demonstrated track record in the areas of staff supervision, membership and program development, fiscal management and fundraising. Budget accountability is $2.0 million including an annual campaign of over $90,000.
This leader is primarily responsible for operating a 25,000 square foot Y facility, for the successful achievement of all its Early Learning, and healthy living programs, Youth and Teen leadership programs, all community engagement and volunteer programs.
Also, this leader will play a key role in further expand the Y’s reach into the community, and excel in development and fostering of partnerships and collaborations with both private and public sectors including the local governments and the school board.
- Establish a culture of quality and service in an effort to meet and exceed the goals and objectives set forth in the strategic plan and standards established by the Board of Directors.

- Develops, manages and monitors operating budget to meet or exceed targets.
- Provides metrics to measure program/membership impact, staff, and program and membership satisfaction.
- Participates in branch and Association-wide activities and initiatives.
- Mentors, coaches and develops branch staff.
- Acts as the LEAD campaigner for Why It Matters Annual Giving Campaign including but not limited to:volunteer recruitment, training and support and lead as an integral member of the management team committed to reaching stated fund raising goals.
- Serve on a Metro Membership Cabinet, liaison with appropriate professional groups in the community and serve on Metro Task Forces as assigned.
- Provide staff leadership to key program committees as determined by Executive Director.
- Manage delivery of related programs to exceed YMCA standards and program objectives.
- Maintain branch and association certifications in CPR, Multi Media First Aid, Blood-borne Pathogens, Metro Atlanta YMCA new staff orientation, branch orientation and branch emergency procedures.
- Leads the strategic positioning of the branch to meet the goals of the Metro-wide strategic plan.

- Minimum of seven (7) or more years overall leadership experience with at least 5 years of successful experieanaging large teams in an executive level/senior management position.
