Director, Alumni Leadership

As the Director of Alumni Leadership, you will be an integral part of equipping our local alumni to lead.  You will do this primarily through the creation of relevant programming and events. You will create and execute on a three year strategy to put more school leaders and social entrepreneurs into our local ecosystem.  You will be responsible for delivering programs that show measurable impact for our alumni leaders. To do this well, it will require you to build productive partnerships with relevant team members and community leaders, and to navigate a complex education ecosystem.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Program Design and Execution (35%)

  • Design, manage and execute on a three year plan to elevate the leadership of our alumni in Metro Atlanta, specifically for alumni on a path to school/systems leadership and for alumni interested in social innovation.
  • Create an alumni onboarding experience for our second year teachers transitioning into alumni hood
  • Leverage external and internal research to design all programs and learning experiences
  • Measure the direct impact of your work through strong evaluation systems

Partnerships (35%)

  • Develop strong external partnerships with experts and organizations necessary to execute on alumni leadership development experiences
  • Collaborate with our Program and District Strategy, especially on programs related to our alumni educators
  • Collaborate with our Development team to show measurable impact of leadership programming

Event Management (15%)

  • Find or create relevant learning experiences for our alumni in our prioritized segments  
  • Manage event planning and logistics for all learning experiences

Regional/National Responsibilities (15%)

  • Support, attend, and/or participate in regional team activities, including regular staff meetings and retreats
  • Participate in corps member selection and matriculation
Skills/Experience: 
  • 7+ years of work experience preferred
  • Experience with program creation, execution and evaluation
  • Experience working in a Metro Atlanta school district preferred
