This position is essential for helping to ensure that the integrity of all ISA credentials is maintained by adhering to proper departmental policies and procedures designed to uphold our ANSI/ISO17024:2012 accreditation. This will be accomplished by providing proper leadership and oversight to ensure that all applications are vetted according to established policy and procedures designed to maintain fair and impartial review of exam eligibility and that all CEUS are reviewed and coded according to the appropriate policy and procedure. This position handles credential maintenance issues that are escalated from the Customer Service Center while ensuring that credentialing-related policies, procedures, and processes are documented and strictly followed. A key function of this role is the maintenance and continual focus on the integrity of the program; identifying opportunities for continual improvement and making recommendations to the Director when appropriate.

Areas of Responsibility: 

• Understands ISA’s Mission and adheres to organization and staff core values.
• Oversees and adheres to ISA credential maintenance processes.
• Monitors credential maintenance metrics and provides timely reports.
• Provides leadership and guidance to the cross functional team of Credentialing Services Specialist.
• Develop and implement a workgroup monitoring system to ensure a high level of quality and accuracy..
• Conducts regular training for the team to ensure that all functions of the role are clearly understood.
• Manages the credential services workgroup’s preparation for ISO applications and audits. Prepares all materials for ISO applications and audits.
• Ensures that ANSI ISO audit, Certification Audit Committee, and internal compliance audit recommendations are implemented.
• Ensures that all committee and Credentialing Council processes and policies are clearly communicated and followed in accordance with ANSI/ISO standards.
• Assists with proposals to ANSI concerning additions/changes to eligibility requirements for the ISA Certified Arborist exam. Includes research and development of appropriate proposals.
• Oversees Administrative support for the Credentialing Council and Committee meetings to ensure that ANSI/ISO standards are upheld and managed. This would include, agenda development, and posting minutes and ensuring that all policies and procedures were followed to ensure ANSI /ISO and ISA policy compliance.
• Serves as staff liaison to Certification Liaisons, and credentialing committees, and provides support to corresponding subcommittees and task forces of these committees. (excluding ethics and appeals committees)
• Manages special projects for the Director of Credentialing Services as requested.

Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in business, office administration, or a related field or minimum of at least three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Experience with ISO and ASTM standards preferred.
Skills/Experience: 

Language Skills

• Fluent in English, both verbal and written. Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business correspondence, including policy and procedure manuals, governance documents, and business-related professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Ability to document and organize policies, procedures, and processes.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Decision Making/Reasoning Ability

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and determine appropriate action plans.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret data and spreadsheets.

• Utilizes the internet.
