Responsible for managing chapter marketing and communications activities as assigned within the Chapter’s chartered area.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Oversee all aspects of strategy and execution for Chapter’s local social media efforts, which supports and communicates the LLS mission and campaign priorities.
- In conjunction with campaign staff, develop a communications plan to support chapter fundraising campaigns, to include: press releases, media alerts and electronic newsletters.
- Update and manage all local Chapter websites.
- Support campaigns/departments at chapter with copy writing assistance as needed.
- Responsible for creation and execution of Quarterly Chapter Newsletter.
- Ensure that marketing programs and materials are consistent with the brand identity of the Society.
- Assists, as assigned, in the development and implementation of other chapter activities.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote the field and campaign fundraising initiatives.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related.
Skills/Experience:
- 2 years related marketing experience in the areas of social media, promotions and digital marketing.
Position Requirements:
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite and database management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborate with Mission Team ensuring success of patient access, education, public policy &advocacy and research.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and use of digital, social media & emerging online channels.
