Digital Fundraising and Supporter Development Manager

The purpose of this role is to help end factory farming. The post holder will contribute by managing and executing our US digital fundraising and individual giving activity, from donor acquisition to engagement and ongoing stewardship. This role is responsible for maximizing supporter lifetime value and increasing year on year net income from our digital fundraising and individual giving program in the USA.

Position is open until filled.

Location is Decatur, GA or working remotely

Areas of Responsibility: 

DIGITAL FUNDRAISING – 40% • Develop, implement, and improve digital fundraising campaigns to acquire, engage, cultivate, steward, and upgrade donors through all digital channels (email appeals, webpages, social media, mobile, online content monetization, and other creative outlets) with a goal of maximizing long-term revenue in line with the Global Fundraising Development plan • Ensure excellent supporter engagement strategies are in place for acquisition, conversion and retention • Ensuring segmentation and data are handled in line with global procedures and guidelines.

 

SUPPORTER STEWARDSHIP – 30% • Manage thanking, banking, and donor stewardship to increase individual giving and improve donor retention, with a key focus on growing a regular giving donor base • Cultivate prospects and re-engage lapsed donors through digital fundraising tools, and initiate strategies to foster higher giving levels • Develop and carry out a standardized digital fundraising calendar and procedures for members to receive regular strategic communications, giving opportunities, and effective stewardship.

 

INTEGRATED PUBLIC CAMPAIGNING & FUNDRAISING – 10% • Work with Public Engagement, Food Business, and Operations teams to ensure the cohesive implementation of appeals and stewardship across departments and channels • Develop and test creative new initiatives and innovative concepts for online giving, including video storytelling • Work closely with Head of US Public Engagement to set, test, track, and report performance benchmarks across all digital fundraising channels • Work with Public Engagement team to ensure the digital fundraising journey is a positive user experience, and maintains the Compassion in World Farming brand.

 

REPORTING AND ANALYSIS – 10% • Frequent reporting against set targets and KPIs • Analyzing fundraising data to continuously ensure the most efficient/highest ROI investments.

 

LEGACY FUNDRAISING – 5% • Reactive support and delivery of the National legacy fundraising program.

 

OTHER – 5% • Notifying the matrix manager of any potential mid - or major donors • Proactively sourcing the opportunities to enhance the program; whether they be in analyzing supporters and donors, market research, media opportunities, or other • Proactively engaging with the International Fundraising team on upcoming opportunities and challenges • Ensuring data privacy compliant fundraising in the US, in line with EU-US Privacy Shield and GDPR.

Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree
Experienced in online fundraising
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders
Demonstrable practical experience of digital fundraising and the principles of online communications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage with various audiences.
Skills/Experience: 

• Knowledge of CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) • Strong knowledge of current and developing online fundraising strategies • Must understand best practices for appeals across multiple platforms, and be able to apply to emerging fundraising technologies. • Self-motivation with ability to work well independently and under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines • Commitment to our mission and vision • Writing great copy for web pages with demonstrable awareness of how to meet audience needs. • Comfortable creating opportunities for giving to support our goals to gain commitments from food businesses to improve farm animal welfare. • Your work ethic and expertise will inspire others • Able to pioneer new ideas, adapt processes and create innovative solutions • Proven budgeting and financial management skills
