Plans, coordinates and oversees and/or delivers all youth, teen, and family programs/events, to include: Swim, Stay & Play, Rockwall, Sports, Family Programs, and Tennis. Develops and manages Program, Swim, and Tennis budgets in collaboration with department directors. Demonstrates the Y's commitment to its core values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring in all actions to serve as a role model.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Ability to research, plan and develop programs.
- Customer service/parent relations
- Responsible for ensuring budgetary resources are used effectively and efficiently
- Supervise, evaluate and lead staff effectively.
- Ability to work with and communicate with age groups assigned
- Plans, coordinates and instructs youth, teen, sports, swim, and family programs.
- Trains and supervises associates and volunteers.
- Coordinates marketing efforts to promote programs.
- Ability to multitask at a very high level with capability of executing each task in timely manner
- Must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with associates and center leadership.
- Others duties as assigned
Educational Background:
A Bachelors Degree in Sports Management/ Recreation/Health Sciences or related field is preferred
Skills/Experience:
- At least 21 year or older
- 3-5 years supervisory experience and 3 or more years in supervision of program operations at a Y or similar fitness/youth development operation.
- Demonstrates track record in developing innovative programs
- Certifications: CPR and First Aid; required within first year of employment: YUSA Team Leader Certification, Asset Building, Working with Youth Ages 5-12, Working with Teens Ages 12-17.
- Attends all training and meetings within the designated time frame
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00
