We are looking for a passionate Information Technology Analyst to turn data into information, analyzing, supporting the Enterprise Production Operations (EPO) services to optimize organizations efficiency.  You will conduct System, Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities as well as secure data transmissions, change/configuration management, and troubleshooting.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Systems Analyst II is responsible for assisting with analyzing, supporting and performing Enterprise Production Operations services to optimize organizations efficiency.  They will support enhancing the reliability, availability, and performance of Enterprise Production Operations activities through-out the organization.  They will perform prompt and effective day to day information services to business users and provide Tier II support.  The services supplied by this person are in the areas of secure managed file transfers, vendor interface management, production processing, testing, execution and monitoring of job schedules. These services are provided for The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) Constituent Relationship Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management and Managed File Transfer systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Assist with performing day-to-day Enterprise Production Operations tasks and activities.
  • Develop, execute, maintain and monitor business processes and process schedules
  • Willing to work flexible hours.
  • Configure secure data transfers.
  • Assist with change and configuration management.
  • Assist with testing and managing test configurations for changes, upgrades, and vendor interfaces.
  • Perform regression testing of job schedules and business process configurations within new releases.
  • Develop, maintain, and streamline Enterprise Production Operations procedures and documentation based on service level agreements, process flow, and software configuration.
  • Work with key business users to educate them in the area of Production Operations.
  • Translate basic business requirements
  • Participate in incident response activities.
  • Provide Tier II support based on known procedures.
  • Resolve issues independently within Enterprise Production Operations
  • Serve as backup to Enterprise Production Operations team members.
  • Assist with innovation for continuous process improvement
  • Less than 15% travel
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical discipline and three years’ experience or equivalent combination.
Skills/Experience: 
  • End user support experience.
  • Experience with the use of Microsoft Office programs.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience providing excellent customer service to business end-users
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience in Information Systems in production control and job scheduling.
  • Experience performing secure data transfers.
  • Knowledge of data encryption and transfer protocols.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems; SQL Server Database Management System.
  • SQLand shell scripting a plus,
  • A history of proactive identification and resolution of issues.
  • Ability to coordinate efforts with peers, end-users, representatives from other departments and external TNC partners.
  • Experience with Operating and Service Level Agreements a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong ability to ensure understanding of priorities; to focus on priorities; and to communicate resource or schedule issues in advance.
