The PMO Project Coordinator will perform a variety of high level administrative and project tasks for the IT Project Management Office (PMO). The Coordinator will work as part of a team within a Business Unit providing a broad range of resources. We currently anticipate that the need and/or funding for this position will end on December 20, 2019
Performs a variety of high level administrative and project tasks for the IT Project Management Office (PMO), which may include managing project reviews, updating PMO documentation and templates, creating/updating PMO PowerPoint decks, updating the PMO SharePoint sites, researching best practices and applying them to PMO processes, performing quality reviews, drafting PMO communications and updating plans. Provide direct support to the PMO Director and PMO Team members. Includes frequent interaction with all IT staff and other Business Units. Makes interpretations and recommendations as appropriate. Duties can be confidential and require comprehensive knowledge of TNC’s policies, procedures and operations. Responsibilities require discretion, judgment, tact and poise. Incumbent has considerable latitude and flexibility in carrying out assigned tasks.

- Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information;
- May be responsible for the work of peers on departmental project teams;
- May require configuration and updating of project management tools.
- Ensure compliance with Conservancy policies and procedures, and external (donor/legal/IRS) requirements; Decisions may bind the organization financially or legally;
- Manage projects with several variables - set realistic deadlines, manage a timeline, and ensure accountability;
- May participate in complex negotiations;
- Provide input through project teams for the development and implementation of new initiatives or the improvement of existing programs;
- Travel and work flexible hours, as needed;
- Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain;
- Work is diversified and may not always fall under established practices and guidelines; and
- Work within scope of program’s strategic goals
- Experience generating reports and analyzing and interpreting the data;
- Experience managing and implementing multiple projects;
- Experience with business process analysis and/or improvement;
- Experience with current technology in relevant field; and
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
