The Marketing Specialist, Member Acquisition implements data-related strategies for direct mail and telemarketing fundraising campaigns for new and lapsed member audiences. S/he assists in face-to-face (F2F) fundraising campaign logistics and data preparation for expansion into new markets and maintenance of existing markets. S/he provides additional budget and logistics support for these programs.
The Marketing Specialist, Member Acquisition implements direct response fundraising data and budget strategies by coordinating marketing efforts, projects and ongoing work. This includes creating and communicating complex data instructions, qcing counts and personalization, and creating and tracking a variety of reports. This also includes project management, outreach to other departments and vendors, fielding donor feedback, and providing additional administrative support for the team/group/operating unit as needed.
S/he works closely with program leads/managers and vendors to implement assigned sections of the project or program to meet quality control standards in a deadline-driven environment. This requires strong attention to detail, good communications skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask, and a specific focus on data.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE
- Coordinates campaign development, implementation and reporting, managing to deadlines.
- Duties are performed under general supervision and established guidelines.
- Interprets guidelines and analyzes factual information/data.
- Opportunity to project manage, as needed.
- Works with vendors/other parties to execute projects/deliverables.
- Experience with relevant technology, especially proficiency in Excel for tracking, qcing, and updating data, as well as other Microsoft Suite products needed for communications, constructing reports, managing calendars, and other project-related tasks.
- Experience coordinating projects and providing administrative support.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with and some application of current and evolving trends in relevant discipline, preferably nonprofit direct response fundraising.
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail and deadlines, and a data orientation.
- Ability to coordinate efforts and organize in order to complete assigned tasks/projects.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Experience providing customer service.
- Multi-lingual skills appreciated.
- Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.
