The IT Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for analyzing and supporting one or more assigned business areas and may act as the interface between the business client and IT Project Management Office, Application Management and Analytics and Infrastructure teams. They translate basic business requirements into functional requirements. They are responsible for testing solve a particular need or product shortcoming. They will provide Tier II support.
The IT Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for analyzing and supporting IT products and services to optimize organizations efficiency. They support enhancing the reliability, availability, and performance of products and services. They assist in formulating and defining support process and procedure combined with basic understanding of a business system and industry requirements. They are responsible for testing solve a particular need or product shortcoming. They provide Tier II support.
The IT BA understands Standard Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and process improvement methodologies, has analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, and can explain concepts to non-technical users.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE
- Work in lateral teams to provide support and documentation on products/systems
- Knowledgeable about the strategies, goals, actions and work processes of the business/system/service/operations they work with.
- Perform some analysis as required to resolve a particular need for product shortcoming.
- Provide Tier II support based on known procedures
- Ability to adapt and/or modify processes in response to changing circumstances.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple low to mid-level projects.
- Produce and maintain document of product
- Participate in incident response activities
- Translate basic business requirements.
- Resolve issues independently within program area
- Willing to travel and work flexible long hours and on the weekend.
- Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain.
- End user support experience
- Experience with the use of Microsoft Office programs.
