The Donor Engagement Coordinator will serve as lead administrative support for the Donor Engagement team, which is responsible for developing events and travel opportunities for The Nature Conservancy’s most important donors and partners. This individual will be responsible for contributing to and maintaining many of the team’s day-to-day operating functions.
The Donor Engagement Coordinator reports to the Director of Donor Engagement and serves as a key member of the broader Donor Engagement team (DET). They will work towards meeting the Donor Engagement team’s strategic priorities of engagement by serving as a subject matter expert in database management, specifically in support of reporting on program performance metrics. They will also provide administrative support for event and travel programs. The Engagement Coordinator is a cross-functional role touching on each programmatic portfolio and supporting all major team initiatives.
- Support collection, input and reporting out of program performance metrics; update DET dashboard for use at bi-monthly meetings.
- Manage donor constituent relationship management system.
- Coordinate Donor Engagement team activities; manage team meeting agendas.
- Track and process payments, invoices, and donor paperwork related to trips and events.
- Support logistics for trips and events as needed, including but not limited to, managing invitations and RSVPs and venue and operator sourcing.
- Maintain and update intra-connect website as needed.
- Draft, negotiate, and track contracts for services with vendors.
- Manage centralized event and trip tracking site.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE
- Does not supervise staff, but may supervise volunteers, interns, or temporary staff.
- Duties are performed under general supervision and established guidelines.
- Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information.
- Coordinate projects with several variables, work within a defined timeline and budget.
- Financial responsibility may include working within a budget, purchasing, processing invoices, contracting with vendors, and assisting with budget tracking.
- Refers difficult questions and unusual problems to supervisor.
- Serve as a team member for assigned projects.
- Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Experience in business writing, editing, and proofreading.

- Experience working with databases, including managing and tracking data. Experience using BBCRM desirable.
- Experience, coursework, or other training in principles and practices in development, event, or trip planning.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
