Cash Receipting Supervisor provides highly specialized finance/accounting-related services to a department or business unit.
The Cash Receipting Supervisor is responsible for the organization’s process to receive, deposit and record cash (and equivalent). They have a high level of expertise in their area(s) of specialization. The position administers and maintains finance/accounting activities in accordance with TNC policies and procedures and best practices in financial/organizational management. The Cash Receipting Supervisor provides assistance to all levels of personnel in their specialty area. They respond to complex employee/management questions and problems based on advanced knowledge of the subject area.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE
- Review and approve daily receipts and adjustment batches
- Perform monthly review and analysis of clearing accounts, including developing a plan to monitor and resolve balances.
- Review receipts to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering procedures
- Supervise a team of 4-6 Cash Receipts Specialists, including training and onboarding seasonal staff
- Cross-train with Cash Receipting Manager to act as a backfill resource when needed
- Monitor receipting metrics to Cash Receipting Manager and recommend training or process changes to improve metrics
- Reinforces consistency in the organization's policies and procedures and provides support related to relevant field.
- Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems.
- Non-profit accounting experience.
- Supervisory experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Multi-lingual skills and/or multi-cultural experience appreciated.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.
- Receivables management experience, including Federal government invoicing and receipting.
- Experience with Blackbaud CRM
- Experience with Unit 4 Agresso Business World
- Experience in manipulating, analyzing and interpreting data. Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
