The Business Process Analyst position requires candidates to have both the ability to move quickly between a variety of roles and tasks, and the initiative to learn and continuously improve themselves and the products and outcomes around them. The Business Process Analyst will report to the Shared Conservation Hub’s Project Director who is part of The Nature Conservancy’s Process Excellence Program.
The Business Process Analyst will support a variety of Process Excellence Program projects, focusing on The Nature Conservancy’s highest priorities. First among these, the Business Process Analyst will support the Shared Conservation Hub project’s efforts related to project management and coordination, business process design, systems design, and communications.
The Business Process Analyst will provide project administration and coordination on Process including planning materials, management and sponsor materials, and coordination and tracking of project activities, progress, issues and outcomes.
The Business Process Analyst will support business process design and implementation work, help to analyze process issues for presentation and resolution, and work with others to document and package new/changed business process for adoption by the organization. In this role, they will also support the Shared Conservation Hub business team as they provide front-line implementation, adoption, and engagement support to strategy teams, business units, and colleagues across the organization and globe.
The Business Process Analyst will support the documentation of requirements of technology features and functions and participate in the review and testing of new technology features with a focus on usability and user experience. They will also perform data analysis on the quantity and quality of Hub data as implementation and enhancements continue forward.
Finally, the Business Process Analyst will serve key communications roles including partnering in the development of communications plans, developing communications, and reviewing/formatting/updating communications.
- Act independently and in supervisor’s stead, as needed; exercise independent judgment to identify and solve problems;
- Coordinate the work of cross-functional, cross-divisional teams towards a desired outcome;
- Manage and implement multiple complex projects, including managing project teams, setting deadlines, and ensuring accountability;
- Develop and implement new initiatives that will ensure department and organization-wide goals and strategies are achieved;
- Lead and/or coordinate project teams as assigned for the development and implementation of new initiatives or the improvement of existing programs;
- Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information;
- Ensure compliance with Conservancy policies and procedures, and external (donor/legal/IRS) requirements;
- Ensure programmatic commitments, Conservancy policies and procedures, financial standards, and legal requirements are met and managed for compliance; decisions may bind the organization financially or legally;
- Work within a budget;
- May manage project budgets and assist with budget development related to strategic projects;
- Does not supervise any staff but may take a leadership role in interdepartmental teams to coordinate the work of peers and possibly also Conservancy volunteers;
- Travel occasionally, working long and flexible hours as needed;
- Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain;
- Work is diversified and may not always fall under established practices and guidelines; and
- Work within scope of program’s strategic goals.
- Experience generating reports and analyzing and interpreting the data;

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Passion for continuous improvement work, and for the mission of TNC
- Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experiences are appreciated;
- 1 or more years of experience in process improvement;
- 1 or more years of project management experience, ideally directing process initiatives in both short and long lifecycles;
- 1 or more years of business requirements and analyst experience;
- Ability to work in partnership with all levels of staff in a collaborative or advisory role;
- Advanced proficiency in interpreting guidelines to achieve desired results;
- Experience with data analysis;
- Experience conceptualizing new ideas and solutions and effectively communicating benefits;
- Strong communication and presentation skills;
- Strong organization skills, time management, accuracy, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
