The AED reports directly to the District Executive Director. The candidate will manage the day-to-day branch operations, to include the leadership team by providing direction and strategic planning for all branch functionsincluding staff development, training, planning, budget management, and program administration, member and volunteer engagement, human resource management and assist with the development and maintenance of contacts in the community with business and civic leaders, interpreting the work of the YMCA, soliciting their interest and support through service clubs, churches, schools, Chamber of Commerce, etc. Provide the highest quality in programs and services for members, parents, and program participants.
- The essential functions of this position is to provide supervision and leadership for daily branch operations.
- Manage the performance, evaluation and staff development of direct reports and staff.
- Ensure that department directors maintain current certifications, training and performance evaluations for staff. Work with department directors to develop annual performance goals and objectives in line with approved department budgets.
- Ensure that members, parents and program participants receive the highest quality in programs and are able to communicate their concerns and program suggestions to management in an effective and efficient manner.
- Work with the Facilities Engineer to ensure that all spaces are properly cleaned, equipment is properly maintained and staff oversee the proper use of equipment.
- Ensure that all programs meet the Association’s guidelines on safety, educational components and healthy lifestyles.
- Ensure that all the policies of the organization are implemented, including Financial, Human Resources, and Program Policies.
- Four or more years’ experience in management with direct supervision of multiple levels of a diversified workforce; will have accomplishments in leadership of staff development, fund raising achievements, program planning and innovation, budget development and management, strategic planning and community development;
- Computer proficiencies Microsoft Office Suite; Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and personal values consistent with the YMCA mission. YMCA experience or non-profit experience preferred.
