The Contracts Paralegal assists attorneys and other paralegals in providing legal services to advance TNC priorities and appropriately manage risk.

Areas of Responsibility: 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS        

Under supervision of a TNC attorney, the Contracts Paralegal assists in providing legal services for assigned programs and ensuring that transactions and activities are legally sound and consistent with TNC’s mission, authority, policies, and procedures.  S/he is able to effectively articulate basic legal concepts and internal policies and procedures to others.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE        

  • Assists TNC attorneys with drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, managing transactional files, preparing regulatory compliance filings, managing litigation or other legal areas.
  • Attends attorney-client meetings and calls and prepares summaries of discussions and monitors performance of deliverables.
  • Manages official corporate legal files, in electronic and paper form.
  • Drafts routine contracts, correspondence and other legal documents for attorney.
  • Assists with financial and accounting forms related to legal matters.
  • Prepares check requests, expense reports and wire instructions for authorization by attorney.
Skills/Experience: 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS        

  • Associate’s degree in paralegal studies OR equivalent qualifications acquired through coursework and/or relevant work experience.
  • Experience conducting research on the Internet and in other legal resources.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE         

  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural experience appreciated.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Relevant legal experience - contracts administration.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint.
